    Participants who fail to pass the Kurosawa 2-chome intersection, approximately 13.5 kilometers from the start, by 12:20 p.m. will retire from the event.

Summary
  1. This is a fun ride event where you can challenge the lap course of “THE ROAD RACE TOKYO TAMA 2025”, which has become an official race of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). Time will be measured for two sections of the course, which are mainly uphill.
    *There will be no awards for the top rankings based on the times for the two sections, nor will there be any time measurement for the entire course.
    *This event is a fun ride, not a race.
  2. Distance: 16.6 km, elevation gain: 368 m (Planned)
    • First measurement section (6.0 km point) Measurement distance 2.2 km (elevation gain 143 m, average gradient 5.9%, maximum gradient 18.4%)
    • Second measurement section (13.6km point) Measurement distance 2.1km (elevation gain 90m, average gradient 4,4%, maximum gradient 10.4%)
  • The course has several long uphill sections, including the above measurement section, and is designed for experienced runners.

Eligibility & Events

Participants must be 12 years of age or older (junior high school student or older) on the day of the event and able to complete the 16.6km lap course, which includes an uphill, in less than one hour. However, the time limit depends on the wave start time, which must be between 51 and 60 minutes at a speed of 18.4 km/h, the upper limit of the time limit.

Awards and Participation Prizes
  1. Special prize
    A prize will be awarded to the top 15 riders (combined male and female rankings) based on the combined results of the first and second time measurement sections, and the details will be announced at a later date.
    *This prize is for those who complete the course within the time limit.
  2. according to measured time
    A standard time will be set for the total time of the first measurement section plus the second measurement section, and a prize will be offered to those who record a time that exceeds the standard.
    Criterion A (top 25%): Gold sticker
    Criterion B (top 50%): Silver sticker
    Criterion C (remaining): Finisher sticker
    *Finishers who complete the race within the time limit will be eligible.

Car type specification
  1. Please bring your own bicycle to the event (no bike rental service is available).
  2. Participating Possible Vehicle Types
    • Road bike (recommended), cyclocross bike, gravel road bike (recommended wheel diameter 700C or 650C)
    • Cross bikes (flat handlebars are a must, 700C or 650C wheels are recommended)
    • Small wheel bikes (rigid frame and 17 inch or larger wheels are a must, 25mm tires and 8-speed gears or more are recommended)

    • Attachments attached to drop handlebars are prohibited.
    • Bar-end bars attached to flat handlebars may be used.
  6. Obligation to wear the following(If you are not wearing the following, you will not be allowed to run)
    • Bicycle helmet (SG, JCF approved/recommended, JIS, CE, CPSC, GS or other safety markings)
    • Cycle gloves (must be worn to protect palms in the event of a fall)
  • The Cycling time will be measured at two measuring sections on the course. If you exceed the time limit, you will be considered a retiree.
  • Time limit 51-60 minutes.
  • Staggered 10-second staggered start system with 10 runners per group (50 groups).
  • If you have equipment trouble or feel sick during the race, please inform the moving judge and follow his/her instructions.
  • Time limit will be set.Those who cannot pass through the barrier gate by 12:20 p.m. or the finish line by 12:30 p.m. will be treated as retirees.
  • The start time may be delayed depending on the race progress of the elite road race.
