- What’s the name of the race?Challenge Race in Aji Sta

- What kind of race is Challenge Race in Aji Sta?On the day before 'THE ROAD RACE TOKYO TAMA2023,' which will take place in the Tama area on Sunday, December 3rd, there will be an event featuring various races and experience programs that are open to sports cyclists, from beginners to enthusiasts.
- Date: December 2, 2023 (Saturday)
- Venue: Ajinomoto Stadium, dedicated course outside of the stadium (Start/Finish: Ajipen Field)
- Course Map (1 lap: approximately 1.15 km)
- Is it possible to bring pets?For safety reasons in the venue, bringing pets is not allowed (except for guide dogs and service dogs)
- Can I leave my luggage?We can only accept small hand luggage. We cannot store valuables.
- Is there parking available?We plan to provide parking for participating athletes in the vicinity. However, please note that there is a limited number of spaces, so we encourage carpooling whenever possible.
- What is the procedure if an injury occurs during the race?Depending on the symptoms, we will help at the designated medical station at the venue. Please note that injuries are covered within the scope of the organizer's liability insurance.
- What happens if it rains?Generally, the event proceeds rain or shine. The decision on whether the event will occur will be announced on the website.
- What happens in the event of a typhoon?In the event of a typhoon or any situation that is expected to impact the event's operation significantly, we will prioritize the safety of participants and take appropriate measures, which may include canceling the event midway.
- What should I do if my bike breaks down?While emergency support is available at the venue's mechanic booth, please also perform maintenance on your own, such as bringing your bike to a specialized shop before the race.
- Are there any restrictions on bike types?We recommend road bikes, but you can also participate with cross bikes, mountain bikes, or small-wheeled bikes. However, electric-assist bikes are not allowed. For more details, please refer to the “Regulations/Rules” section on the website.
- Is there a bike inspection?We do not conduct inspections, but if significant maintenance issues are observed during the race, we may refuse participation.
- Is it possible to participate with a rental bike?We do not have rental bikes available. Please participate with your own bike.
- Do you offer participation prizes?For Cycle School, we provide a sports towel and a certificate upon completion. For Guided Short Race and Cycle Marathon, we offer a long-sleeve t-shirt.
Programs
- What is Cycle School?It is a program where participants are divided into classes based on their level, such as the Novice Class and coaches provide lectures on the correct way to ride a sports bike, riding techniques, and more.
- What is Guided Short Race?It is a program in which guide riders lead the group at a constant speed, ensuring safety while riding the course as a group, and only competing in the final lap of the race.
- What is 80-Minute Cycle Marathon?It's a program in the format of enduros which are similar to road bike races. In this format, teams of 2 to 5 members compete by taking turns, aiming to complete the highest number of laps within 80 minutes of riding.
- What is Pro Athlete Exhibition Race?It's a public race featuring athletes, including those competing in the road race the following day. It's a spectator-oriented program where you can experience the powerful performance of top athletes up close.

- When does participant registration start?We are currently in the second phase of entry. The deadline is October 31st (Tuesday).
- How can I apply?Please apply through the “Enter from here” section on the website. In case of a high number of applicants, there will be a lottery.
- What are the eligibility requirements?The 80-Minute Cycle Marathon is open to participants from the 4th grade of elementary school and above. Other events are open to middle school students and above.
- What are the participation fees?
- Cycle School: Participants: 200 individuals, Entry Fee: ¥3,500
- Guided Short Race: Participants: 210 individuals, Entry Fee: ¥3,000
- Cycle Marathon: Participants: 140 teams (70 teams x 2 races) (Please note that each team consists of 2 to 5 members)

- Is there a waiting list for cancellations?We do not have a waiting list after participants are confirmed.
- What if I want to participate in both Cycle School and Cycle Marathon?You can participate in multiple events (Cycle School, Guided Short Race, and Cycle Marathon)
- How is it conducted?We organize classes for “Race Novices,” ”Race Beginners,” and “Experienced Racers,” dividing them by age and other criteria, and each class consists of approximately 10 participants. Professional athletes and instructors provide lectures directly.
- I applied for the first phase of entry. How do I make the payment for the participation fee?The payment deadline is October 31st (Tuesday). Your participation will be confirmed upon receipt of the entry fee. If payment is not made by the deadline, your participation will be considered invalid, so please make the payment by the deadline.

School
- Is there anything else required besides a bikePlease make sure to bring your own helmet. Pedals do not need to be binding type. Further details will be provided in the participant's guide.
- Are there classes by levels?There are three classes: “Novice Class,” “Beginner Class,” and “Experienced Class.” For more details, please refer to the 'Program Overview' on the website.
- Can elementary school students participate?This time, we accept middle school students and above, so elementary school students are not eligible to participate.
Guided Short Race
- What is the race duration?It's 20 minutes. Until the final lap, support riders will control the group, allowing participants to become accustomed to the group's speed and feel. The competition takes place on the final lap.
- How many people are in one race?Each Heat (one race) consists of approximately 35 people.
- How is the ranking determined?The ranking is determined based on the finishing order in the final lap when the support riders have exited.
Cycle Marathon
- Is it possible for non-participants to enter the pit area?We do not have specific restrictions for the pit area. However, it is a shared space with participants, so we kindly ask you to be considerate and not cause any inconvenience to other participants.
- How many laps should I complete?As a team, a rough estimate is around 40 laps, but exchanges are flexible, and there is no set number of laps per individual.
- Do I need to specify all team members before entry?During the first phase of entry, the team representative can enter without specifying all team members. After the lottery, you will need to register your team members when completing the official entry.
- Can I participate solo?Participation as a solo rider is not allowed. You can participate with a team of 2 or more, but the maximum team size is 5.
- How is the ranking determined?It will be determined by the number of laps completed. To ensure safety, sprinting to the finish is prohibited, and all teams with the highest number of completed laps will be awarded.
