On the 26th (Sunday) of November, “THE ROAD RACE TOKYO TAMA2023 Support Event” was held at the Tama Mirai Messe (Hachioji City). The event was a great success with a local market in Hachioji City, performances by local groups and a BMX stage.

Current road racer Yukiya Arashiro and para-cyclist Yoshiko Sugiura appeared at the stage event, with Arashiro commenting, “When I heard it was a one-way race on Tokyo’s public roads, I wanted to do it myself. I hope it will become a big event with the world’s best riders taking part,” and Sugiura commented, “This course is also my training course and I’m excited to see the race. I’m really looking forward to it and I hope it will be a competition that will go on for a long time.
